Cowboy hats are typically made from straw, felt or leather; none of which are good options for use with hotfix rhinestones. Straw can catch on fire, felt and leather can scorch, melt or shrink. To add rhinestones to a COWGIRL HAT you have 2 easy options to choose from:

1. Hand Placing - hand place Diamond Cut Flatback Rhinestones directly on your cowboy hat using glue. For Leather TRW suggests Ninja Super Flex or Ninja Super Grip Glue. For Felt or Straw TRW suggests Supertight Multi Grab 360 or Supertight Fusion Tack glue.
2. Make a Band - To add rhinestones to a cowboy hat the fastest and easiest option is to make a fabric band that you can attach to your cowboy hat. To do this simply heat press Diamond Cut Hotfix Rhinestones to a piece of ribbon that is the desired color and width you want. Once you have created the design and pattern you want on the ribbon, simply glue or sew the ribbon into place on your cowboy hat.

To add rhinestones to a fabric belt simply follow the same process you would with any other fabric and press your Rhinestone SVG Design using hotfix rhinestones and a crafting heat press.
