Q: I am sure there is a simple solution. This came with my rhinestone starter kit, when I download it, it opens as an application file. that is as far as I get. How do I get to the fonts. I understand that I need to install them and they will show up in my silhouette font list but I cannot seem to get to the place where I can see them and click to install them. HELP LOL

Q: I am using Silhouette Connect and I also have the designer edition of silhouette. I typed a word, sized it and used this rhinestone font. My circles are not circles but ovals. How do I correct this?

You can adjust stone sizes for the font but you cannot directly adjust the hight/width with no respect for the stone size. As for size cut settings please refer to the documents linked below

Hello. Our TTF (True Type Fonts) can be downloaded to your computer, extracted to be added to your own font library and used in any software on your computer. To use in Design Space, AFTER you have extracted and added to your Font folder, first close out of Design Space. Then reopen it. After you type your text, which currently defaults to Cricut Sans, click the little dropdown where it reads Cricut Sans (currently this is located near the top left of your Cricut toolbar). Search SYSTEM FONTS in Design Space to find fonts on your computer which are not Cricut fonts. You will need to size rhinestone fonts and designs so the template holes fit the rhinestones you are using. We do this with the Contour button in Design Space if a font does not list a font point size.

A: Yes this can be used with the Cameo 4, this font is provided as an otf file which is installed to the whole computer, not just your cameo/Silhouette Studio.

A: True Type Fonts take a touch more digging to get to them.
Try this:

C: drive, Users, Public, Public Documents, The Rhinestone World.

We call rhinestone fonts and designs "set in stone", because they must remain the size they're designed to be. When you type in most computer programs, the default font is usually Arial with a point size of 12. With our typeable fonts, we include the font point size needed to use with the fonts.
For TRW Basic 5, please use the following:
ss6 Point Size: 219
ss10 Point Size: 294
ss16 Point Size: 391
ss20 Point Size: 470

Rhinestone fonts can't be stretched or shrunk to fit the dimensions you want, the way a vector font can be stretched or shrunk. This is because the rhinestones have a set diameter.

Try this: Type your text, change it to TRW Basic 5 and then refer to the list above to change the font point size to match whichever size rhinestones you'll be using. This sizes your word so that the holes in the template will fit the rhinestones.

If the word is too big for the area you're decorating, try switching to using smaller rhinestones. Or, you can use a smaller font. We have our rhinestone fonts sorted on our site by the height they'd be when using ss10 rhinestones. The rule of thumb is the taller the font, the bigger your end result will be.
