We are trying to heat press this material onto bomber jacket like jackets but the vinyl is not transferring to the garment. We are following the guide lines on pressure, heat, time and when to peel and it is just ripping and not adhering to the garment Thank you

A:
Hi there! Sorry you're having trouble, the ReflectAll can be more difficult to work with.
A few factors came to mind - what type of fabric are your jackets? Some fabrics are coated and cannot accept in the adhesive from HTV or rhinestones. A good example is polyester. Some poly are coated and the htv will peel right off even if it appears to be pressed well. To check things like poly, do the water droplet test. Drip some water on the garment and if it hangs out on top beaded up, then it's coated. If it beads up then absorbs in after a moment, then it should accept the adhesive.
Another thing that comes to mind, is are you pre-pressing the garment for about 5 seconds before applying the htv. As with all garments this is needed to remove atmospheric moisture from the fibers.
After this step, press the htv (at 305 degrees F) to the garment for about 5 seconds as a tack press and remove the static carrier warm. Not hot, not cold, just around 5-10 seconds after the press. Go slowly, then use the cover sheet for the final longer press.
