Questions and Answers
Ready for a blade replacement?
This replacement blade is compatible with the following cutters: Roland GS-24, GCC Expert IV, GCC Expert, Cricut Maker, Cricut Explore Air and Cricut Explore Air 2. This blade is not compatible with Cricut Joy.
If you are cutting thinner materials such as
Siser-Easyweed
or
Colorspark-Holographic
we suggest you use the 45 degree blade. If you are cutting thicker material like
Magic-Flock
or
Glitter-Vinyl
, we suggest the 65 degree blade for the best cut.
2mm blades fit into the standard blade housing of the Roland GS-24, Cricut Explore Air, Cricut Explore Air 2, older GCC models (Jaguar IV and Expert 24), and TRW's Blade Holder.
For Cricut Maker, Cricut Explore Air and Cricut Explore Air 2 you must use the pre-existing holder that came with your Cricut to hold the TRW replacement blade. To fit into the standard blade housing for the Jaguar V and Expert II you will need the The 2.5mm blade, this 2mm blade will not fit in their standard blade housing

We have an older GCC Puma III cutter and need some new blades in both 45 degree and 60 (65) degree. I see they are offered on both 2mm and 2.5mm. Is this the diameter of the shaft? Mine measure just under 2mm.

When ordering blades for your GCC cutter please make sure you purchase the correct Diameter blades for your GCC Vinyl cutter.
The GCC Expert series, Puma III , Jaguar III - IV, RX series and below take a 1.9 blade (listed as the 2 mm blade).
The GCC Expert II Series, Puma IV and above, Jaguar V and the RX II series take the 2.5 mm blade.

Q:
Hi, may I know how many pieces include in the pack? also, how long would the blade last, how frequent should I replace the blade? Thank you
Asked by:
Ika Aziz
- 6/4/2021
A:
One blade comes per pack, blade life really depends on what and how often you're cutting, generally blades can last about a year or two with moderate use but with heavier use you may have to replace it sooner.

Q:
What's the difference between the 45 and 60 degree blades, and which one do I get for the Cricut Maker? Thanks!
Asked by:
Annette Seletzky
- 1/12/2023
A:
The 60 degree blades have a steeper angle, which is helpful for cutting thicker materials, such as Siser Brick htv.
We use the 45 degree blade on everything other than Brick. These 2mm TRW Clean Cut blades are the ones you'd use for your Cricut Maker.
