Q: What is the difference between the Bling Everything Material and Rhinestone Hot fix tape? Do they do the same thing?

They are different materials. The Bling Anything material turns your hotfix rhinestone design into a dishwasher safe decal. You press the rhinestone design to the Bling Anything decal material. The Acrylic Hotfix Tape is similar to a carrier sheet for htv...it is used to pick up your rhinestone design and transfer it to your Bling Anything Decal material (or shirt) and hold the rhinestones in place while you press them. When you are making a Bling Anything decal, please be sure to trim your rhinestone design with scissors before bringing over to your Bling Anything. You don't want the Acrylic Hotfix tape or a carrier sheet to touch the edges of your Bling Anything decal material while pressing as it can lift the edges of the decal. Make sure there is room between the edge of your sticky tape and the edge of your Bling Anything.

The main limitation of Cricut's is that design space is not good when it comes to designing/working with rhinestones. You're able to import pre-made designs and rhinestone fonts, but you're not able to make your own designs in design space. You could use something like Silhouette Studio business edition or Corel DRAW to do your designs and then export them from that software and import it into Design Space. I would recommend trying some pre-made rhinestone designs first just to see if you like the process with Cricuts first.

Design Space likes to skew things to be much larger than designed when an svg is uploaded. Our older rhinestone designs were not the knocked out "craft" versions we create today. Design Space needs the template to be knocked out or sliced for you to resize it properly.

Here are the steps for svgs with the black dots on a yellow box. The yellow box represents your template material.

Ungroup everything.
Click the yellow box and hide it in your Layers panel by clicking the little eye next to the box.

Highlight the rhinestone design. WELD them.
Click the little eye in the layers panel to unhide the yellow box.

Select both the yellow box and the welded rhinestone design and click SLICE in your layers panel of Design Space. You will be left with 3 objects. 1) the original rhinestone design that you can now delete 2) the SLICE RESULT which looks like yellow rhinestones which you can delete and 3) The yellow box with several holes -- you KEEP this as it is your template.

Select the template and click CONTOUR in the layers panel. Click HIDE ALL CONTOURS, let Design Space grey out everything and then click on one single dot. Close out the Contour box.

You will have one dot on your screen. Resize this dot to .135" by .135" if you are using ss10 rhinestones. If you use ss06 rhinestones, resize the dot to .097" by .097".

Now you can go back to your Contour command, click SHOW ALL CONTOURS and close the contour box. Your template will be perfectly sized for rhinestones.

Remember, you do not mirror rhinestone designs when you send the template to your vinyl cutter.

This kit is marked available on the site :-) It has Hot-fix heat tape and Magic Flock both in the kit if that's what you're asking. The bling anything material is included in the kit but that material is temporarily out of stock on it's own standing.

A: The bling anything is back in stock this week so we'll have the kits etc updated asap.

As long as you're careful with an ice scraper and deicer it will hold up.

Great question!
Welcome to the world of Rhinestones! Once you've mastered decals with Bling Anything, be sure to check out our HTV Anything on our Youtube channel!
First, yes, you need hotfix stones, they're included in this kit.
Generally our designs call for size SS10 stones.
Lastly, I'll link a great video for beginners below. Please note, you know you've got a good press when you see little puddle marks around your stones on the Bling Anything material. You don't want to over press, but be sure to look at it closely under good lighting to be sure you have those. Also be sure to leave a touch of space when trimming the decal with scissors upon completion. You don't want to trim so closely that you break that seal in the puddles, a little space around it is fine since it goes on clear.

Shipping is calculated at checkout by the various carriers. You should be given different options from USPS and FedEx, so that you can choose which shipping type you'd prefer.

We don't make any money on shipping--it's set by the carrier. Unfortunately, all carriers have been raising their rates over the past 3 years.
