Yes. It is very important that you press the HTV portion of your design first. If you make a mistake and press the rhinestone portion of your design first you will not get a good press later on your HTV. Once you press your rhinestones to fabric you create a small gap between the top of your heat press and the material. This space will keep you from getting a good press on your HTV, by pressing the HTV first you avoid this problem.

When cutting the vinyl portion of your muli dec design you DO mirror the vinyl portion of the HTV design. However, you DO NOT mirror the rhinestone portion of your design when cutting your rhinestone template from magic flock.

Yes. To make a rhinestone template with silhouette, simply cut your design in rhinestone template material the same way you would cut any vinyl design. Silhouette Studio can accept both DXF and SVG file types. Upgraded version of Silhouette Studio such as Silhouette Studio Designer Edition or Business Edition easily upload SVG files or DXF files. However, the free version of silhouette studio has limited capabilities and only accepts DXF file Types. SVG files can effortlessly be converted to a DXF files using free SVG to DXF converters available online.

To change the size of a multi dec design you must resize the rhinestone portion of the design first and then resize the vinyl portion of your design to fit the size change.

Resizing a Rhinestone Design:

A crafting design that uses both hotfix rhinestones and heat transfer vinyl is called a multi-dec or multi decoration design. A multi decoration design is made up of a standard SVG cut file you would use to cut the vinyl portion of the design and a separate cut file you use to cut a rhinestone template or stencil for the rhinestone portion of the design.

You can make a vinyl and rhinestone decal with adhesive vinyl. If using adhesive vinyl, do not mirror the vinyl portion of your design prior to cutting the vinyl. Do not attempt to heat press adhesive vinyl, it will melt and ruin your project. For the rhinestone portion of your decal, you must first press the rhinestones to ColorSpark Bling Anything material. Pressing the rhinestones to bling anything allows you to make them into an adhesive sticker you can layer on top of your vinyl decal sticker when placing it on the finished product.
