A: Hi there!
Yes, we have the stone sizes and counts on the second thumbnail of the listing. The largest stones are ss16 in Jet Black and Peach. The Orange templates use only ss10 and ss06 as fillers.
If you use the Crafter file, you'll see we took the time to knockout the rhinestone design through the template, which will upload faster to your software. We've also color-coded the templates in the Crafter file, so you can see which rhinestone colors to use with each template.
Typically, when we have ss16 rhinestones and smaller stones in a design, we like to press the smaller stones first, so they get even pressure. With this design, we have all the templates sized exactly the same, so you can brush the rhinestones for your first template in, lift the design with hotfix tape, but use a large enough piece that you are able to create a hinge off to one side, so you can keep bringing the hotfix tape back, to pick up the next layer of rhinestones.
We'd recommend brushing in all of your ss06 in first. Since the ss06 have a smaller profile than the ss10, it's easier to pick up the ss06 first and then the ss10 rhinestones. Example: Brush in all of your Jet Black ss06, apply the Acrylic Hotfix tape, rubbing your hands firmly across the tape to pick up the rhinestones. Have the extra long edge of the tape pushed down against your table or workstation, so you have a hinge. Peel up the tape from one side to lift the stones. If any remain behind, just put the tape back down and push on the stone with your thumb to get it to stick to the tape. Have the tape with the first color of rhinestones peeled back to one side and secure it with something heavy, so it doesn't fall back to the template or pile of rhinestones as you're working. Align the second template - example: ss06 Orange - directly on top of the first template. You should not see any holes from the first template through the holes of the second one. Brush in the ss06 Orange rhinestones. Bring back the Acrylic hotfix tape to pick up the second layer of rhinestones. After securing the Acrylic hotfix tape with the Jet Black and Orange ss06 stones off to the side, remove the second template and store it on the white textured backing from the Acrylic hotfix tape. Now, align your last ss06 template directly on top of the first one. It's easiest if you don't have more than 2 templates stacked at a time. Brush in the Peach ss06 stones and repeat the steps for bringing back the Acrylic hotfix tape to pick up those rhinestones.
Next, start using the ss10 rhinestones. Keep the first template stuck to the table, so you can align the ss10 templates to it. This keeps your design aligned. Brush in all of the ss10 Jet, then Orange, then Peach. The Monarch Butterfly design will be very obvious and visible to you at this point.
We'd recommend pressing the rhinestone transfer with the ss06 and ss10 rhinestones at this point. They press at 325 F for 15 seconds with Medium-Firm pressure. Let it cool a bit and peel off the Acrylic hotfix tape. Bump up the heat on your heat press to 335F.
The reason we recommend pressing the ss16 separately is that their taller profile can interfere with the smaller rhinestones getting full pressure and even temperature if you try to press ss06, ss10 and ss16 at the same time.
Brush in your ss16 rhinestones to the Jet and Peach templates, following the earlier instructions of having one template stuck to the table and stacking the second template directly on top for the second color of ss16 rhinestones. We like to brush in the color that will have the most rhinestones first.
Take the rhinestone transfer with the ss16 rhinestones and align the design with the rhinestones you've already pressed to your shirt. Press at 335 F for 15 seconds. Let the shirt cool a bit, peel the tape and turn the shirt inside out. Press for 5-8 seconds to get that heat directly to the heat-activated adhesive on the back of the rhinestones.
You've got this! Just give yourself time to work on each section of the design and trust the process. :)
