Create your rhinestone templates with TRW Magic Flock Material! Magic Flock is the leading rhinestone template material on the market and is TRW's exclusive flock.

Magic Flock is a self-adhesive, velvety material perfect for cutting rhinestone templates with any craft cutter. It is the only adhesive template material that is fully customizable and stackable for easy multi-color or size rhinestone designs.

Magic Flock's thinness allows you to easily cut the material with your vinyl cutter, creating less wear and tear on your cutter and blade overtime. Its sticky adhesive backing allows your template to be used and reused.

The fine fibers covering TRW's Magic Flock prompt the stones to brush into their prospective holes right-side-up every time, so you won't have to adjust them by hand.

Cut, brush, and press your rhinestone designs with ease. The TRW blue flock material provides the perfect contrast between your stones and your template.

This Magic Flock is 11.75"-12" inches wide and sold in 1-foot sections, order more than 1' and it comes rolled. It is .65mm with the backing and .45mm without.

Need more than a few feet, order away and it comes rolled, NOT AS INDIVIDUAL SHEETS

Makes Rhinestones Easy!

Admittedly, I was intimidated by all of the rhinestone designs I saw out there. Then I started following TRW and Matt and The Crew showed us just how easy using rhinestones can be! Don't buy the other flock materials - just buy the TRW Magic Flock and see how easy it can be!

Q: What is the recommended hole spacing for rhinestone designs when cutting on magic flock?

Asked by: warner_ky - 10/28/2022

A: We create our templates with .02" between the holes for Magic Flock.

The sizes we use for the different sizes of rhinestones are:
ss06 = .1"
ss10 = .135"
ss16 = .173"
ss20 = .208"
ss30 = .270"
ss34 = .302"

Q: For the Magic Flock - It states reusable but unsure, how many times can it be reused? Is it a permanent template once cut out? Thanks.

Asked by: manosg617 - 9/20/2021

A: If you're gentle with it, (and do not get them wet), it can be reused hundreds of times. For storing them, we like to use a 3 ring binder with plastic protector sheets to stick them to. Once the circles are cut out, yes, it's a permanent template.
Thanks!

Q: I have a Maker 3 and wanting to know which material setting you use for the Magic Flock. On here it says 340, what does that mean? I always choose based on material. Also, do you just use your fine point blade? Thanks!

Asked by: Emily Graham - 1/14/2022

A: 340 is a custom pressure setting! If your Maker has the preset "Heavy Cardstock" or "Cardstock +" we recommend that one with 2 passes! As far as the blade goes, we recommend the deep cut blade or ratchet blade for best results!

Q: Hi. Can my Brother ScannCut SDX 225 auto blade be used to cut this flock?

Asked by: mxptas - 9/21/2021

A: Hi there!

While we do not use the Brother Scan n Cut machines and are unfamiliar with the blades they use, we do have customers who have successfully cut our Magic Flock template material with their Brother machines.

As with any new material, we encourage you to do a test cut to be sure you have your cut settings dialed in properly, before cutting an entire template.

Q: Is the backing of the magic flock too sticky to lay on chalk board to then fill with stones? My old material from Brother had to put on a shiny cardboard. Hoping to start using your flock. Thks Susan

Asked by: Susan Eggen - 10/12/2022

A: No, it's perfect for that. We have a few videos of us using chalkboard as well on our Youtube channel.
The only thing is with flock, the longer it sits, the stronger it sticks. Be sure to gently pull the design up and replace it to it's backing once the stones are lifted away.
With a little care, the templates can be used hundreds of times.
We have some great videos as well on our channel with other tips like this.
One great one is reminding you to test cut, and how to find your perfect settings to get a template that weeds very nicely.
If you'd like to watch this before cutting, search: How To Find Your Cut Specs & Settings On Silhouette With Various Materials | Live Training
It's a touch long but it covers a vast amount of materials, along with Magic Flock, and will save you from wasting material in the long run.

Q: Which mat do you recommend to place the flock on when using a circuit, standard or strong grip?

Asked by: Regina Hardaway - 11/29/2022

A: We typically used the Standard grip before we started using our own TRW mats. If your template has a very dense rhinestone design, where there isn't a lot of room between the holes, you might be better off using the Light Grip, just so your template does not rip when removing from the mat.

Q: Can I load the flock on the mat with the backing attached?

Asked by: Barbara A Miller - 4/25/2023

A: Yes, you can leave the backing attached. That's how we used to cut the Magic Flock material for years, until we discovered with the Cameo and Cricut, peeling the backing off and sticking the flock sticky side down to the sticky surface of the mat helped weed out all the dots.

Whichever way you prefer to cut is fine, just do test cuts to see if you need to bump your pressure up or down. Also, when you peel it up, if you're not getting a good weed, try peeling from a different corner. The last tip for weeding the dots is if they are not popping out, squeegee the template to a table or other smooth surface. Then, peel from a corner and many dots will be left behind. Repeat the last step as necessary.

Q: I want to do 2 color rhinestone decals I’ve watched your videos so I need adhesive flock, both adhesives confirm which ones and do they yellow over time? In regards to the designs you sell can I add text to them? Does your training teach me how to make the designs and edit them in the cricut software? Do you sell magnet backing for rhinestones instead of decals too I may want to make both and is it the same heat transfer process I have the cricut heat press. The glue you reference is different than what others have reference e6000 for shoes. I am going to be attaching to patten leather too… thoughts? Says it’s waterproof and most durable. Can I put in your applicators? I also need to apply to a surface that is porous if you search peloton sweat cover on Amazon you’ll see a grey one and a red and black one I want to sparkle. My phone number is xxxxxxxxxx if it’s easier to talk and my email is xxxxxxxxxxxxx.

Asked by: Victoria Glasser - 1/1/2024

A: This is a public Q&A forum so your personal information has been deleted. If you'd like to email, feel free to do so at [email protected]
Question 1 - The materials needed are hotfix rhinestones, magic flock, a design, and Bling Anything. No additional adhesive needed, as the hotfix stones are pressed to the BA material and it does not yellow, it's clear.
Question 2 - You can add text to the designs by placing a font with it, yes.
Question 3 - Cricut software (Design Space) does not have rhinestone designing tools, but you are able to use our rhinestone Crafter files and our rhinestone true type fonts in Design Space. Our Crafter files have the rhinestone designs sliced out or knocked out through the template, so that DS sees it as a single object rather than a rectangle with hundreds of dots. We design in our TRW Design Wizard paired with CorelDraw to work. You can purchase Silhouette Business Edition on site as well, which has a few primitive rhinestone tools as well.
Question 4 - We do not sell magnet backed materials.
Question 5 - The adhesive we recommend for shoes are also located in full shoe kits on site. We do not use toxic materials such as e6000. Our adhesives can be placed near the skin safely, as e6000 cannot.
Question 6 - Our adhesive will work for most things, please read the descriptions under our listings to see which would be right for your applications. Some materials, such as silicone and other petroleum based items, will repel the adhesive.
Question 7 - We have applicators on site, yes. They look like a syringe with a very wide barrel tip vs a needle.
Question 8 - Porous fabrics or materials may need to be researched a bit. We have descriptions under our listings if it's needing to be hand placed, or see if our other videos using hotfix stones would be a better choice.

Q: Good morning, When will the Bling anything and Magic flock return to stock?

Asked by: Kyamesha Harris - 3/15/2022

A: Hi there!!

We have just added the 12" wide by the foot Magic Flock back in stock on the site.

We had received a shipment of Bling Anything last week and it sold out same day. We expect another shipment of it this week. If possible, can your project use our HTV Anything, instead? If you press htv to HTV Anything first, you can then layer rhinestones on top of the htv and it works exactly like our Bling Anything decal material. You have the added benefit of being able to press thinner htv to htv anything and it's $1 less per foot than Bling Anything.

We also carry larger rhinestones in the Korean Low Lead Crystal in ss30 and ss34.
