TRW's Love Bear Multi-Decoration instant design download was created with the crafting process in mind. Separate cut files allow you to layer vinyl and rhinestones elements together for a beautifully enhanced decal or transfer. For the rhinestone portion of the design you will create a reusable template using your craft cutter and
Magic-Flock-Template-Material.
For the vinyl portion of the design you will be able to easily send cut files directly to your vinyl cutter or design software. Each multi decoration design download comes with EPS and SVG file types making them easy to use with any design program. All multi-color designs come color separated. TRW multi-decoration designs are perfect for making custom rhinestone apparel, rhinestone decals, t-shirts, customized gifts, home décor, rhinestone appliques and more. Can this template be resized?

A:
We call rhinestone designs "set in stone" because they can't be resized the way a design created just for htv can. The reason is because the holes need to be the proper size so that the rhinestones can fit into the template holes.
If you resize the entire template to use smaller ss06 rhinestones, it would shrink the design by about 24%. Another option would be to create the design in "Baby Bling". This is where we use glitter or holographic htv in place of the rhinestone portion of the design to mimic the sparkle and appearance of rhinestones. Baby Bling designs can be resized, since you're using heat transfer vinyl rather than rhinestones.

I tried doing the baby bling as suggested with this image and I lost a lot of the circles, to the point I couldn’t use the cut. How can this be fixed? I watched your video on you tube and followed those instructions, before I started. I’m using a silhouette 4

A:
Excellent choice for baby bling! A few things could be at play since it's just cutting htv and not Magic Flock for a template.
Check your blade. Is the very tip nicked or chipped off?
Open up your blade, are there scraps of adhesive vinyl binding or snagging new cuts?
Have you test cut various times to be sure your settings are for htv?
Have you tried slowing your cut speed down so the adhesive can not kind of tidal wave under your cut and stick to the blade? We do this with delicate cuts as well.
Since you're using Cameo and likely Silhouette software, got ahead and turn on the overcut as well. It's a box you click. This purposely makes the blade not only cut the circle, but then cut a little farther as well to be sure it's fully "clipped".

Resizing a Rhinestone Design:
TRW Rhinestone designs are created based on a standard SS10 stone size. To maintain the proportions and detail of the design it should only be resized by altering the stone size.
By selecting a different stone size in your design software your design will get smaller or larger while still maintaining the proportions and detail of the design.
Selecting a stone size of SS6 or below will make your final design smaller while still maintaining the proportions and detail of the design.
Selecting a stone size of SS16 or above will make your final design larger while still maintaining the proportions and detail of the design.
Attempting to scale a rhinestone design to a larger or smaller size without changing the stone size requires a complete redesign of the design points and will
NOT
maintain the proportions and detail in the design. In addition to distortion of the design proportions altering a rhinestone design improperly will change hole sizes and rhinestones will not properly brush into the template. A redesign should only be attempted by crafters and professionals experienced in building custom rhinestone design files. To rebuild a rhinestone design you will need to delete, add and move stone points to create a completely new rhinestone design.
