What is TRW Magic Layers

It Is an amazing Add-On Software for CorelDRAW to help you save time and money by creating unique designs in seconds. Create outlines, contours, multiple layers, and knock outs with ease. In  addition, you can save your favorite settings and combinations for future jobs.

  • CorelDRAW Graphics Suite Versions: X7, X8, 2017, 2018, 2019 (PC Version), 2020, 2021 and 2022
  • Not Compatible with: Student or Educational Version of CorelDRAW.

How to Use "Text" Buttons

Edit the text highlighted.

Change to Uppercaseletter uchange to upper case

Changes the text to Uppercase.

Change to Lowercaseletter lchange to lower case

Changes the text to lowercase.

Change to Title Caseletter tchange to title case

Changes the text to Title case.

Stacks the letters.

Break Artistic Text

Breaks apart the text. If you have more than one word highlighted, this will break the text into words. Click the B again to break the text into individual letters, and you can still edit the letters.

How to Use Text Spacing

Enable Text Spacing Tool

text spacingTo tighten/loosen up the spacing between letters, click the TS button. This allows you to drag-free with your mouse.

To tighten up, click and drag the handle on the text to the left.

To loosen up, click and drag the handle on the text to the right.

Decrease/Increase Character Spacing

To decrease/increase the character spacing between each letters click the TS with arrows pointing horizontally inside/outside.

Clicking on the TS with arrows pointing inside button will tighten up the space between each letter evenly.

Clicking on the TS with arrows pointing outside button will loosen up the space  between each letter evenly.

Decrease/Increase Line Spacing

To decrease/increase the line spacing between each letters click the TS with arrows pointing vertically inside/outside.

Clicking on the TS with arrows pointing inside button will tighten up the lines between each letter evenly.

Clicking on the TS with arrows pointing outside button will loosen up the lines between each letter evenly.

How to Add and Remove Contour Setting

Contour check box

The Letter C stands for Contour. If you create and offset and check mark the box box it will create it as a contour, if you uncheck it will not.

Examples:

Offset One

Set the number in Offset One box to 0.1, uncheck the contour box and click Apply.

Set the number in Offset One box to 0.06 in Offset box Two to 0.12, check both the contour box and click Apply

Set the number in Offset One box to 0.06 in Offset box Two to 0.12, uncheck the Offset One box keep Offset Two checked and click Apply

How to Change Contour Size and Colors

To change the size input any number in the box. To change the color left click the color box and choose a color.

Changing Sizes

Set the number in Offset One box to 0.12, check the contour and click Apply

Changing Colors

Left click the color box to change the contour base color to blue. Set the number in Offset One box to 0.12, change the color to gold check the contour box and click Apply

How to Change Corners,
Knockout and Reset Setting

Corners and knockout

Changing the corners to round, mitered or bevel.
Show what's behind is the knockout the layer for an offset.
Reset button to reset all the editing sizes and color back to the preset.

Changing Multiple Corners

If you set the inner text corner to round and outer text corner to bevel and apply, it automatically creates both text corners round.multi-color

Show what's behind

If click on the "Show Whats Behind" button, it will put an "X" on the color of an offset which will knockout the color from the text. show whats behind
Without using the "Show Whats Behind" button, the text will create 3 layers on top of each other.show whats behind
When using the "Show Whats Behind" button, the text layer with "X" on it will get knockedout, creating 2 text layers.show whats behind

How to Save Folders and Settings

Save Folders and Settings

Great way to organize and save settings for future use.

Click the "+" sign next to "Folder" to create a folder and name it however you want.

Save Magic Layers

After creating a folder change the offset setting to your liking then click plus "+" sign next to "Name" to Save Magic Layers setting. You can save different Magic Layers setting within the same folder name.
