Q: I want to use these as a decal so do I need to use bling anything so the rhinestones stay on? The rhinestones are not on the htv so I’m wondering if I can use the bling anything for the htv and the rhinestone accent to create a decal.

Multidec means Multiple Decorations or using more than one material for a design. These are typically htv and rhinestone designs. For multidec, you'll cut the htv as you normally would, and press those layers first. The first few colors, just tack press the htv, as heat transfer vinyl shrinks with heat and you want to be sure your design colors still fit together. This also ensures your first layers of htv don't get 'over cooked', since they will be pressed several times if you have a multiple color design. The final layer of htv gets full dwell and temperature.
After all layers of htv have been pressed to your shirt, you'll press the rhinestone portion. The reason you press rhinestones after the htv is due to the profile or height of the rhinestone. If you pressed those first, you wouldn't be able to get full pressure to the htv portion of your design. Align the rhinestone transfer to the shirt and press with medium-firm pressure for 15 seconds at 325-335 degrees F. Not all presses reach the temperature the digital readout states, which is why we have that range. Higher quality presses are generally very accurate to the digital readout and can use the 325 temperature. The goal is to completely liquify that heat-activated adhesive disc on the back of the rhinestone. The pressure from your heat press pushes the rhinestone and liquified adhesive into the fibers of the shirt you are decorating.
Never layer rhinestones over the top of htv for apparel. Rhinestones on top of htv will fall off in the wash, so please be sure you are pressing directly to the fabric of your blank apparel. Properly pressesd rhinestones will last through the washer and dryer. Stay away from Fabric Softener and the laundry scent beads, as the chemicals in those can interfere with the adhesion of heat-applied materials.

Hi there! Yes, Bling Anything was our original material that can turn heat applied materials into decals. When using Bling Anything, please use thicker htv such as glitter or brick, as the layer that is able to grip onto the rhinestones will bubble when using thinner htv.

Please note that these designs are fairly large, with the biggest being over 8" in height, which is rather over size for a decal. Designs with rhinestones cannot be resized, as the template holes will either shrink or stretch, depending on if you shrink or stretch the design. The only way you would be able to shrink these designs would be to use smaller rhinestones than the design calls for and shrink the template to fit those smaller holes. The smallest stone we carry is ss06 and shrinking an ss10 design to fit ss06 will shrink it by about 25%.
