It doesn't appear that these blades are ratchet type, so how do you set the depth of the blade in the holder? I have a Cameo 1 and 4. TIA Love you guys!

A:
You would twist the knob on the top of the blade holder (NOT the end with the blade).

The cameo come's with a 45 degree auto blade, the 60 degree blade is usually only for thicker materials and the 45 is for general use.

I have a Cameo 4 and cut mostly heavy cardstock or cover stock, usually 200gsm or heavier. Do you recommend the 45 degree blade or the 60 degree? I am fed up with Silhouette blades; each new blade wears out quicker than the last.

We rarely cut cardstock, but typically, the 45 degree blade will cut everything other than something thick like Brick HTV.

A:
The black plastic tip unscrews and you can drop the blade (pointed side down) into that cap. The back end of the blade will be sticking out. Screw the black cap back onto the blade holder and then you can twist the cap to adjust how much of the blade you have sticking out.
The entire blade holder will fit into the grey plastic housing that came with your Silhouette. Unclip and remove the Auto Blade and replace it with the grey housing with your new TRW Clean Cut blade.

There are a few. If you're not replacing what you've already bought from us, then you'll want one of them with a holder. Be sure to check the listings, we've added which will fit what machine in the item title and the descriptions. If it says Cameo on the listing like this one does, it will fit with our holders.

A:
Yes, this blade holder fits the newer Graphtec ce7000-60.
I like to have two separate blade holders--one for my 45 degree blades and this replacement I use with the 60 degree blade, so that I always have the blade set for Brick when needed. It does take test cutting a few times to be sure you have the proper amount of the blade dialed out.
Also, when replacing the blade holder, be absolutely sure that you have the lip of the holder going UNDER the clip with the knob on it. The lip can easily catch on that clip and rest on top, so when you tighten the knob, it seems that the blade holder is secure. However, it is a few millimeters too high and you won't get a good cut on your vinyl. I only mention this because it's a common mistake folks make when changing their blades and replacing the blade holder.
