Q: Just want to be clear on how long the roll of transfer tape is. A little confused on the quantity and inches. How long is 12ft? Is that a long roll?
A: This tape comes in quantities of 12 inches or 1 foot. When you order more than 1ft, it's on a continuous roll. 12 feet is a decent amount of tape.
Q: Does this come in a continues roll or 12x12 sheets. i would prefer in continues roll.
A: Move your hot-fix rhinestone designs with Hot Fix Transfer Tape! Available in both 9.5" inch wide and 12" inch wide and sold by the foot. If more than 1 foot is ordered, the tape will come on a continuous sheet. Acrylic Hot Fix Transfer Tape is ideal to use with hot-fix-rhinestones and a heat-press. After your template material is cut with your design and the hot-fix-rhinestones are brushed in, use Hot Fix Transfer tape to lift your rhinestone design from your workspace to your heat press. The acrylic hot fix tape stays covering the rhinestones during heat-pressing, keeping them in place during the application process. Multicolored designs and designs with multiple stone sizes can be layered using this acrylic transfer tape.
Q: Listing for transfer tape says it's in stock but when I'm trying to add it to the cart, it's saying it's out of stock. Is this something I can order?
A: Our Warehouse Manager was able to update the listing, so you should be able to order it now. Thanks for reaching out!
Q: when will transfer tape become available
A: We have the 9.5" wide Acrylic Transfer Tape available and have just been able to add a bit more of the 12" wide. We are expecting our full shipment to arrive sometime next week. Thanks for reaching out!
Q: Trying to order Acrylic Rhinestone Hot-Fix Transfer Tape and Im getting an error message "Please select all required options."
A: Yes, the site is asking you to select the width of Acrylic Hotfix tape. Please select the width you'd like to purchase and add to your cart. Thanks!
Q: Unable to transfer design from
flock template to tshirt using transfer tape. What am I doing wrong? Please advise.
A: When you have all of your rhinestones brushed into your template, cut a large enough piece of transfer tape that will cover the full design. Peel the white plastic backing off of the tape and form it in a U shape over your design. Bring the tape straight down to your rhinestones and lay the to side edges down. Rub your hands firmly over the tape several times to stick the rhinestones to the tape. Start with one corner and start peeling the tape up. If any stones remain in the template, drop the tape back down and press with your thumb over that rhinestone. If several stones are staying in your template, be sure you are rubbing over the area with your hands firmly. The rhinestones should stick to the transfer tape easily if you've used firm pressure, running your hands over the top.
If your rhinestones are not coming up out of the template at all, it could be that your rhinestone holes are a bit too small. We use .135" for ss10 stones, which is slightly bigger than the actual rhinestone. This assists in both brushing in the stones and pulling the rhinestones out of the template with the acrylic hotfix tape.
Q: I noticed there are 3 different hot fix transfer tape options. I can't see a difference between them. What one should I order and why? Thanks.
A: These are all the same tapes. There are different size options to choose from.
Q: How can i just purchase a 12” roll
A: There are a few options to choose from under the Rhinestones drop menu, and then Hotfix Supplies.
Q: Is there any way to reduce the static with transfer tape?
A: Yes, discharge your body first of static. Wash your hands, or touch metal then avoid moving around a lot. Peel the backing from the tape slowly to avoid static as well. We have videos on our Youtube channel showing technique as well - hold the tape in a U shape above the stones, then smoothly lower it and let it roll out. Be sure to commit, there's always going to be a little atmospheric static but these tips will help.
Q: Do you sell this in a roll? Or do I have to order this as separate sheets?
A: The Acrylic Hot-fix tape is sold by the foot and when you order 2 or more feet, they will come as a continuous length. We don't pre-cut our materials that are sold by the foot--they all will come to you as one long strip, depending on how many feet you order.
Q: Is the transfer tape a one time use thing?
A: You can reuse the Acrylic hotfix tape as many times as it will still pick up rhinestones. I like to use mine about 4 times, but Matt has reused his as many as 8-10 times. Another neat thing about the Acrylic hotfix tape: the white textured backing is an ideal place to store your cut templates. The tape is already cut to size for the design and the white textured backing helps to protect the cut template. We store ours in sleeve protectors in binders.
Q: When will the 12" transfer tape be back in stock?
A: We are expecting the shipment of the 12" Acrylic hotfix tape to be here early next week, shortly after Memorial Day.
